Good Money Moves is operated by The Cody Group LLC dba Good Money Moves ("Good Money Moves," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.goodmoneymoves.com, enroll in our courses, join our email list, or sign up for text messages, and how we use and protect it.

By using our website or services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly and some information collected automatically when you use the site.

• Contact information: name, email address, and mobile phone number when you sign up, enroll, join a waitlist, or contact us.
• Account and course information: login details, course enrollment, progress, and activity on our course platform.
• Purchase information: billing details needed to process payments. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
• SMS consent records: the date, time, and method of your opt-in to text messages, and any opt-out requests.
• Usage information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and similar data collected through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use your information

We use your information to run Good Money Moves and serve you well, including to:

• Deliver courses, content, and services you sign up for
• Process payments and manage your account
• Send emails and, with your consent, text messages about your enrollment, course updates, reminders, events, and offers
• Respond to questions and provide support
• Improve our website, courses, and content
• Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse

SMS text messaging

If you opt in to text messages from Good Money Moves, we will send you messages about course updates, reminders, new content, events, and occasional offers. Full details are in our SMS Terms.

• How you opt in: by entering your mobile number and checking the SMS consent box on our website, or by texting a keyword we publish. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
• Message frequency: varies, typically about 4 messages per month.
• Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time. You will get one confirmation text and no further messages.
• Help: reply HELP or email us at [email protected].
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

This excludes only the service providers that help us deliver text messages, such as our SMS platform and mobile carriers.

We share other information only in these cases:

• Service providers who help us run the business, such as our course platform, payment processors, email and SMS providers, and analytics tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Good Money Moves or others.
• Business transfers, if Good Money Moves is merged, sold, or reorganized.

Cookies and third-party platforms

Our website and courses are hosted on Thinkific, which uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure site use. Thinkific and our payment processors handle information under their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like signing in to a course, may not work without them.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal requirements, and resolve disputes.

Your choices and rights

• Email: click "unsubscribe" in any email.
• Text messages: reply STOP at any time.
• Access, correction, or deletion: email us at [email protected] and we will respond within the time required by law.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children's privacy

Good Money Moves is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
